St. Paul Lutheran School
Mission Statement

St. Paul Lutheran School exists to educate and support the whole child through an excellent Christ-centered education, nurture our school families with God’s Word, guide them in applying their faith to their lives, and encourage them to joyfully share the good news of salvation with the world. Proverbs 22:6 - “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Our Story: A Legacy of Faith & Learning

Established in 1883, St. Paul Lutheran School has been a cornerstone of faith-based education for over 140 years, shaping generations with academic excellence and Christian values. The school has grown into a thriving institution offering a comprehensive curriculum, strong extracurricular programs, and a commitment to spiritual development. Serving the Green Bay community, it provides students with a nurturing environment, leadership opportunities, and a deep-rooted connection to service and outreach. Through its unwavering dedication, St. Paul Lutheran School continues to foster faith, knowledge, and character in every student who walks through its doors.

"St. Paul is a Christ-centered school family where each child is known, loved, and nurtured in faith. Rooted in God’s Word, we partner with parents to support both the spiritual and academic growth of their children, while also walking alongside families with care, encouragement, and prayer. As principal, with over 25 years in education, I have never experienced a place as genuinely loving and grace filled as St. Paul. It is a blessing to be part of this community."

In His Grace,

- Principal Stephen J. Miller

Educational Philosophy

At St. Paul, we believe every student is a child of God and is uniquely created, deeply loved, and full of potential. Our approach to education combines a Christ-centered curriculum with academic excellence. We are committed to high standards, purposeful instruction, and meaningful relationships that support every learner's growth. This philosophy is lived out through three guiding commitments:

1

Begin with the Child

We believe that learning begins not with a textbook but with the child, each one uniquely created in the image of God. At St. Paul, we prioritize strong relationships and responsive teaching, knowing that students thrive when they are seen, heard, and known. Our low student-to-staff ratio allows teachers to design instruction around the whole child, including their strengths, questions, challenges, and sense of wonder. We don’t just deliver lessons. We teach students.

2

Believe in Growth

All students can grow and succeed. With high expectations and the right support, our students rise to meet challenges and develop confidence in their God-given abilities. We align instruction to grade-level standards by using clear learning targets and assessments to guide instruction and track progress. Academic growth is not left to chance; it is pursued intentionally, supported consistently, and measured meaningfully.

3

Build for the Future

At St. Paul, learning prepares students for a life of purpose, service, and impact. Our teachers are lifelong learners who model curiosity and are committed to growing both professionally and spiritually. Together, we cultivate habits of thinking, character, and creativity that equip students to thrive in our changing world and soar toward the future God is preparing for them.
