Wisconsin Parental Choice Program
100% tuition coverage available for qualifying families at St. Paul Lutheran School
What is WPCP?
The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) is a state-funded program that can cover 100% of tuition at a participating private school for families who qualify. It gives parents more choice in where their tax dollars support their child's education, including the option of a Christian school like St. Paul.
Who Can Apply?
WPCP is open to:
-
Any student entering from a public school, out-of-state, or homeschooling
-
Any student transferring from another private school (if already enrolled in the Choice program)
-
Any student entering 4K, 5K, or 1st grade
Returning voucher families must reapply each year through the state DPI process.
Application Timing for 2026–27
Applications are accepted in the following windows:

Important Tip
Applying early, especially in February, gives the best chance in the seat allocation process.
Helpful Information
Priority & Selection
If there are more applicants than seats, a lottery system and preference order determine placement.
Priority is given to students already in Choice programs and their siblings.
Income Eligibility
Eligibility is based on family adjusted gross income, defined and updated annually by the state.
Families who might struggle to afford private school tuition could attend at no cost if they qualify financially and by residency.
Other Financial Aid Options
If a student isn't selected through WPCP, other financial aid options (tuition assistance, scholarships) are still available to help make Christian education affordable.
